Natalie is an Independent Consultant offering a number of services in the fields of Coaching & Mentoring, Competency & Performance Assessment, Team-Working and Change Management.
Natalie’s background lies in the pharmaceutical industry where she spent 14 years, in various roles, with sanofi-aventis. Therapy areas she was involved with over this time included cardiovascular, metabolism, neurology, bone health, women’s health and analgesia.
Her role before leaving sanofi-aventis was Divisional Business Manager for the Market Access Business Unit within the organisation. At the time when she took on this role it was a new business unit and her role initially, along with the Business Unit Director, was to finalise the structure, formulate the strategy and set the objectives for the field based personnel whilst ensuring full integration into the wider organisation through strong cross functional working across all other business units. Subsequently the role involved leadership, management and development of the 70 field based ersonnel responsible for delivery of the tactical plans.
Following a career break to spend time with her young children, Natalie became an independent consultant providing a wide variety of services to assist with both individual personal development and wider team and company development requirements. Examples of these include, but are not limited to:
- Coaching and mentoring across the sales force at both representative and first line manager levels, the latter being especially with those new to this role or those managing new teams e.g. market access / NHS teams
- Competency assessment of internal personnel followed by relevant coaching feedback and development plans where necessary
- Assistance at recruitment / assessment centres, providing an expert external opinion
- Coaching Clinics providing first line sales managers with the opportunity to take time out of the work place to discuss real life coaching scenarios, think through them and reach solutions to move forward with the guide and help of an external expert
- Advisory assistance with organisational change, particularly with new team set ups where there is a requirement to change cultural mind-sets and develop strong cross functional working to ensure maximum business impact
Companies that she has worked with as an independent consultant include Quintiles, GSK, Leo, Roche, Abbott and OnMedica.
In the run up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow Natalie secured a fantastic opportunity to become a member of the Frontrunners Programme where she was involved as an interviewer and a trainer of the Clydesider volunteers which saw 15,000 people becoming games time volunteers. During the Games Natalie was a volunteer within the Protocol team which was a once in a lifetime opportunity she thoroughly enjoyed.
Now that both her children are at school she is looking forward to assisting organisations to meet their development goals.
